What Customers Say About LG BD300 Network Blu-ray Disc Player:

Also I come to find out that LG discontinued this model (probally because its crap). This blue ray player is total garbage. President Obama should declare the LG BD300 a global pandemic and hand out a stimilus package to all sucker consumers like myself. The worst part of all is I exchanged my new Sony blue ray player for this crule joke when I heard about it steaming Netflix. Three months after buying this waste of money it completely stopped playing standard dvd's and it has zero internal memory. It cost me roughly $350.00 and now I have to pay more to have it fixed, because the manufacturer's warranty is only 30 days.

All the features are user freindly and does great with our harmony remote system. Works wonderful for us. We have had ours for a year now and we love it.

The customer service is horrable and do not know what they are talking about. LG would not stand behind their product and told me that since it was 120 days old the labor would not be covered and I would have to pay a $69 charge for labor even since it was not repairable and they sent me a new one. I would buy another brand before buying LG again Don't buy this machine. I only used this for 4 months and watched about 12 blu ray movies and it started skipping and then would not read at all.

This old firmware DOES NOT have direct downloading of YouTube videos but DOES play regular DVDs properly. Say yes and wait a while. Don't ever use the firmware upgrade feature again.Since I'm only semi- computer literate, it took me an hour to do this, but it was still a lot easier than shipping the thing back to Korea. If your BD300 has stopped playing regular DVDs, try this simple fix.1) Go to the LG support site 2) Download the Version 8.11.460 firmware file onto your computer (along with the.pdf instruction file)3) Extract (unzip) the.zip file4) Transfer the resulting.ROM file onto a USB memory stick5) Pry open the concealed USB port at the right front of the BD300 witha fingernail or nail file inserted at the TOP6) Power up BD300. After the initial menu appears, insert the memory stick7) Select STARTUP > OTHERS > SOFTWARE UPDATEThe BD300 will now detect the old firmware on the stick and ask if you want that "upgrade".

They said we had to send in the new Blu Ray Disc Player. If Life is Good for LG that is good for LG but life is not good for those of us who bought the LG BD300. LG has discontinued the BD300 since it had such problems and I wouldn't advise anyone to buy the BD370.So Life is not good LG and if this is how you treat your customers when your products stink then were through buying LG products. We will now pay $69 for a problem that hundreds of LG customers are stuck with. We bought it in November for a family Christmas present and by February it no longer played DVDs or Blu Rays. Four months later, we spoke to LG Tech support.
